Happy Birthday to the man I love!

It’s my hubby’s birthday today! Just a simple lunch, I cook pork sinigang today. Sinigang is a Philiipine dish famous for the variety of ingredients one can use as well as for its taste. Sinigang is typically sour flavor. Pork sinigang, the most common variety, is usually prepared with tamarind (which provides the sourness), tomato, leek taro and onion. Other vegetables cooked in sinigang may include okra, spinach, radish and string beans. And we have decided to go to the mall and have some our groceries and we wanted to open up a small sari sari store or convenience store. The word sari-sari is Tagalog meaning "variety". Yes her birthday today, but he don’t want to spend and prepare a fancy dinner party, unlike the other men drink more alcohol and eat more. He is practical, So we bought goods or merchandise to sell. Even little value this great start for our living. Upon arriving at home, we organized the goods. And then we ate our dinner. I cooked chicken adobo. Because tha...

Shrimp and squid cooked gently in olive oil and garlic and tossed with spaghetti noodles. I’m pasta and a seafood lover. Spaghetti marinara, I really like this food. In fact I like it more than the sweet Filipino spaghetti. Whenever we eat out on a spaghetti specialty restaurant I would always take spaghetti marinara and hubby choose Spaghetti with meatballs. The Proposal on our wedding anniversary :-)

Image
My hubby and I enjoyed the movie a lot. It’s worth watching the movie. Ever since I heard about the film, I wanted to see it because I love Sandra Bullock and enjoy Ryan Reynolds comedic nature, so I was excited that I had a chance to watch and luckily we saw it on our 4th year wedding anniversary. Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds made this movie so funny. It's amazing how well they worked together. The story of a arrogant woman and an infuriated man who hate each other — until they realize they love each other. Margaret (Sandra Bullock) plays a demanding editor who is a Canadian immigrant. When she is about to be deported back to the north, she forced to marry her assistant to prevent this from happening. .It was unusual proposal the girl kneeling and proposes to a guy. Andrew (Ryan Reynolds) unenthusiastically agreed, under the condition that he is promoted to editor and his manuscript be published. When they travel to Alaska to meet his family, the new couple has to fake their w...

I have fallen in love

I have fallen in love (Ninoy's Poem for Cory) I have fallen in love With the same woman three times In a day spanning nineteen years Of tearful joys and joyful tears I loved her first when she was young Enchanting, brilliant, middle-strung Vibrant, fragrant, eternally new Cool, invigorating as the morning dew. Desperate, she shared, quieted my despairs Hopeful, she fanned the fires of my hopes Lavished me with days of bliss and peace, Endless, perpetual days of fond memories. She is my hope; I do not wish to realize Hence my hope; forever green, eternal prize My life transcending life, my ultimate quest Dream of my life for whom I’ll spare no rest. I fell in love again With the same woman the second time When first she bore her child and mine The first fruit of our union and our love. The pains and anguish of motherhood she braved Loved her children, their love she deservedly craved Times were she hung on the very brink of death, Unflinchingly fulfilling her mission to procreate. I...

My husband requested me to plan for our anniversary, which is about next week. Before I forget, the budget is only P1,000.00, ha-ha estimated ill ask him first. Traditionally celebrations often involve giving and receiving of cards and gift. But we wanted it to celebrate between the two of us. Last year we cook at home. But this time I would like to go out and dine somewhere. Not too far to travel because he still have a job tomorrow. I know that he would love to watch a movie while I’m enjoying eating. Any new food that is unique and exotic. I love it, the pasta, noodles, pizza, sushi and maki, All of the above. It is my weakness. Lol. Here is my time plan for August 8, 2009 0800 Hrs – be awake 0815 Hrs – Coffee and Hot Choco time 0845 Hrs –Hubby would use computer for 1 or 2 hrs while me, going to market to cook for our...
